Cloud computing delivers three broad categories of services namely infrastructure service platform services and software service. When a cloud service provides a service consisting of hardware components such as memory, CPUs, servers, network cards etc, it is termed as Infrastructure as a service (IaaS). The term “infrastructure” is used to signify the fact that these hardware components form the first and the most basic layer in the computing. The next level or kind of service available on the cloud is the environment for software developers. This developing environment is called a platform. When a cloud provider offers platform as a service, it is referred to as Platform as a service (PaaS). The next and top level of service available in cloud computing is in the form of a software. The range of software services available in the forms of “Software as a Service (SaaS) is already huge and is growing exponentially. Most of us know cloud computing as consumers of SaaS.
